You may be comfortable applying yourself
You are married or in a civil partnership, or you have lived together for at least 2 years. The income you rely on comes from a straightforward salary, you have a test certificate or an obvious exemption for the English requirement, and nobody in the household has a refusal or an overstay behind them. In that position, careful reading and a well-ordered set of documents go a long way. But remember even with a stable salary as an employee there are certain rules that mean when you are in salaried employment your monthly gross income must not drop below a certain level as this means that the Home Office will view this salary below the £29,000 threshold and it will lead to a refusal. If you are refused, your visa fees are NOT refunded.
